Yarra Trams – Melbourne

Since 2018, LANEC has been contracted to assist Yarra Trams in their CCTV renewal project. Our assistance, has primarily been the installation of new FLIR HD security and safety cameras at multiple sites, but our role has extended to a much larger pool of services.

The project sites include tram depots, tram termini and individual high-traffic tram stops. At these sites we have replaced legacy coaxial cabling with category 6 cabling to support the IP platform cameras as well as new pit and pipe infrastructure.

Due to the location and nature of the installations, vandal-proof, steel conduit fittings and mounting hardware were used. Where required, new communication cabinets have been installed and fitted with new CCTV hardware, including DC power supplies, network switches and DVRs.
